Social Chess Club
Chess coaching in Sadashivanagar for children, young adults and adults. Twelve students to a batch, six boards, classes in person and online.
Twelve students. Six boards.
The club has six boards, so no batch is larger than twelve. Fewer students for each coach means more of the coach's attention on every student's games, and every student gets a board to play on.
Batches run on weekdays and at weekends, separately for beginners and for students who already play. Adults have their own batch.
Six levels, from the first move to the tournament hall
Every student begins on the first level and moves up once the coach has seen each skill in real games. A child who joins young can stay for years and always know what comes next.

- Level 3 Bishop Seeing tactics About 800 to 1100
- Level 4 Rook Thinking in plans About 1100 to 1400
- Level 5 Queen Competitive player About 1400 to 1700
- Level 6 King Advanced player About 1700 and above
Parents can see how a child is doing, any day
Each family gets a login. Their page shows what the coach has marked as learned, how often the child attends, notes from the coach, tournament results and awards, all kept from the first class onwards.
Students who play on Lichess can link their account, and their online rating and recent games appear next to the coach's records.
