Programs

Three kinds of batch, one path of six levels. Everyone's progress is recorded the same way, so moving between batches never loses anything.

Beginners
For students who are new to chess or still learning how the pieces move and the rules of the game. Most children start here.
Regulars
For students who already play full games and want to improve: tactics, openings, endgames and tournament play.
Adults
For adults who want to learn the game or come back to it, in a batch of their own.

The six levels

The coach marks each skill as learning, practising or mastered. A student moves up when nearly all the skills on a level are mastered, and earns a badge for it.

How classes work

Batches are capped at twelve students. Classes are in person at the club, and online batches join through a link posted on the family page.

Between classes, students can practise with puzzles and lessons in the Learn section of the family page, and play on Lichess if they like.

Fees are paid at the club. Call 99010 44009 to ask about fees and seats.
